We have incredible environmental, cultural, sporting, and heritage treasures, and we are happy about the fact that our outdoor city has been designated the greenest in the UK and is the only city in the country to have a national park within its borders.

The Director of Public Health is in charge of the Public Health Service, which has lately experienced major changes and has been unified into a single service that is extensively linked with the council’s Integrated Commissioning Service.

Furthermore, you will play a part in assisting public health projects related to a variety of distinct infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis.

In this position, you will be working with a variety of colleagues and the council, which is part of the Health Protection Team, to safeguard the health of Sheffield residents and tackle health disparities by ensuring that those who are most in need receive assistance.

About You

You’ll be adept at collaborating with others to solve problems related to public health, committed to reducing health disparities, and effective at using data to guide practice.

As a representative of the Council Public Health team, you must possess excellent communication skills and also the ability to collaborate with others.

You will possess specialized understanding of public health earned through an appropriate degree or prior work in health protection.

If you can relate, come and join our team.
